Cat Friendly Clinic

Since 2019, we have been awarded Silver in the ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic scheme

At Belmont Vets we understand that our feline patients in particular don't enjoy a visit to see the vet.

Because of this we are keen to ensure we do our best to ensure a stress-free environment as much as possible.

Cat Friendly Waiting Area: We have created a separate area for cats to wait in. Cats like to hide away and watch the world from a place of safety so the cat shelves give them a sense of security.

Cat Friendly Handling: Less is more with cats. We do have to restrain patients for certain procedures. Cats respond far better to light restraint and distraction.

Cat Friendly Hospitalisation Facilities: Including larger cages in a separate ward away from our canine patients and minimal noises and smells from other animals.
