Visiting Ultrasonographer

Wales & West Imaging

For several years now we have had the good fortune to be able to offer the services of a specialist ultrasonographer at our surgery. If more indepth ultrasound scanning of an organ or ultrasound guided biopsy to enable diagnosis is required, Esther holds both the RCVS and European diplomas in diagnostic imaging and is a recognised specialist in the field.

Visiting Cardiologist

Emma-Louise Waller BVSc CertAVP MRCVS, EL Veterinary Cardiology

Emmie qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012. After quickly acquiring an interest in cardiology when her own German Shorthaired Pointer was diagnosed with a cardiomyopathy in 2015, Emmie has been developing her skill set ever since, focusing on veterinary cardiology in practice for several years.  Working with us at Belmont Vets for over 3 years where she has undertaken the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and in 2023 will complete her qualification to gain the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Veterinary Cardiology) from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.  Emmie is now moving out of Herefordshire and establishing her own veterinary cardiology business.  She will run clinics in practice, generally once a month, to continue the care of her ongoing cases as well as seeing new ones that require her expertise.

Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Stewart Bedford BVSc CertSAS MRCVS

Stewart Bedford is our visiting orthopaedic surgeon who holds a certificate in small animal surgery. Should your pet develop an orthopaedic problem we can arrange a referral to Stewart for a consultation and surgery, should it be required. He has a wealth of experience dealing with various complicated orthopaedic procedures and works closely with our vets and nurses to provide your pet with the best possible care.
