Sammy-Jo Edwards RVN
My name is Sammy-Jo Edwards, I am the head nurse at Belmont Vets, and have worked here since October 2019. After completing my training in Bristol and South Wales, I then went on to work as a head nurse in Cardiff for 2 years. After travelling to Australia and New Zealand I decided to move to Hereford to work in a practice which provides its own Out of Hours service. This allowed me to begin studying for a certificate in emergency critical care. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and planning more travel adventures.
Daniel O’Leary RVN
My name is Daniel, I have been at Belmont Vets since July 2004. I completed my BVNA animal nursing assistant qualification, in 2006 with distinction. I then progressed onto doing the RCVS Small animal veterinary nursing Level 2 and 3 qualifications in 2007/8, and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 2009. I am also the Clinical Coach in charge of training. I have a household full of pugs and chihuahua’s, Nala, Wilma, Ricco & Tia. I have particular interests in birds, and my hobbies include fishing, playing tennis and showing my dogs.
Rebecca Pye RVN
My name is Rebecca and I have been working at Belmont Vets since January 2007. I started as an animal care assistant and then progressed onto my veterinary nurse training and qualified in 2012. I have a pony called Stella who keeps me busy and a cheeky Terrier called Bertie. My main areas of interest are general nursing, anaesthesia and wildlife.
Heidi Young RVN
My name is Heidi and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I started working at Belmont Vets in 1996. I enjoy all aspects of theatre work and I also enjoy my weekly visits to our local Cats Protection shelter. Also being involved with nurse clinics means I get to interact with humans too! Here I am in my photo with my lovely dog Ellie who came in as an RSPCA rescue dog.
Vicky Cann RVN
My name is Vicky and I started at Belmont Vets as a voluntary Saturday girl when I was thirteen and became a full time nursing assistant in 2005. In 2008 I completed my BVNA animal nursing assistant qualification, with a distinction. I then progressed onto the RCVS Small animal veterinary nursing Level 2 and 3 qualifications and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2010. I enjoy being outside and spending time with my family and friends. I have an energetic dog called Juno who is a mix between a Labrador, Springer, Italian Spinone and Newfoundland. I also have a cat called Horatio who I rescued from the vets who is the boss of our house!
Amie Jones RVN
My name is Amie, I joined the team here at Belmont Vets in 2012 after I moved from Hampshire. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005. I have a cat called Ralph who is very much spoilt. I have a keen interest in theatre work and emergency treatment.
Rebecca Dancocks RVN
I’m Becky Dancocks and I’ve worked at Belmont Vets since August 2008 when I moved to Hereford. I have worked in a vets since 2001 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 2006. I have a very lively black Labrador called Welly. My main areas of interests are anaesthesia, wound management and senior pet care.
Leigh Pilsworth RVN
My name is Leigh Pilsworth, I came to Belmont Vets in January 2018 as a second year student veterinary nurse having started my training on the Wirral and then moving to Herefordshire. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in June 2018. I love working with all animals but I am definitely a cat person. Outside of work I enjoy baking and starting new arts and crafts projects.
Charlotte Morgan SVN
My name is Charlotte, I started as a volunteer on Saturday mornings in 2014 and since then have been offered a role here full time and started my veterinary nurse training in January 2018. I have a Labrador, two yappy Jack Russells and two horses that I enjoy taking out for hacks around the countryside. In my spare time I’m often found competing with my local young farmers club or spending time on the farm with my flock of sheep.

I have a great passion for working with animals and spend my spare time with my own animals. I have a chihuahua called Molly, 2 cats called Dennis & Biff and a royal python called Theodore.
